Justin Kratzmeyer opened a tax office in Mineola, Tx in November of 2013 and began preparing taxes in 2014’s tax season. It began to grow, and he started adding services, such as bookkeeping, and eventually, payroll. It continued to grow, until he no longer needed a part time job to supplement his income, and in August of 2019 he resigned from his position at the local library so he could focus on his company full time! This was a huge milestone, and it allowed him to focus more on giving back.

Giving is the foundation for everything under the KE umbrella. Giving food, helping others with bills and rent, buying someone gas, these are all great things, but oftentimes something more is needed. There are many ministries, and government support, for these needs. It has often been said that America has the richest poor people in the world. Maybe our poverty is of a different sort than that of much of the rest of the world. Maybe, some just need to be taught about being better stewards of what God has given them. What if there were more discussions on not just money management, but materialism, giving, and priorities? When someone drives up to a food pantry in a vehicle that costs them $600 each month, not including insurance, something is wrong. Actually, there’s more than one thing wrong with that.
